A Little Pocket Hug Goes a Long Way

A small reminder that no one should have to carry the hard stuff alone.

Sometimes the smallest things can carry the biggest message.

For Nicholas’ Run, our organizers created little “Pocket Hugs” to hand out to participants as a simple reminder of care, connection and support.

They are small enough to tuck into a pocket, backpack or purse, but the message behind them is much bigger.

You are cared for… You are not alone… Someone is thinking of you.

Nicholas’ Run was created in memory of Nicholas Zhou and continues to bring people together around youth mental health, awareness and support.

The Pocket Hugs are a tiny reflection of what the event is really about. They are not complicated or grand. They are simply a way of saying, “We’re glad you’re here.”

Participants can take one home, pass one along to someone who may need it, or keep it as a reminder of the day.

Because sometimes support starts with something very small.

A conversation.

A kind word.

A hand on a shoulder.

Or even a little hug that fits in your pocket.
