More Than a Run: Connecting Youth and Families to Support
Nicholas’ Run brings mental health organizations and community resources together in one welcoming space.
Nicholas’ Run for Youth Mental Health is about more than crossing a finish line.
Each year, local mental health organizations and service providers join us at the event to share information, answer questions and help connect youth and families with resources in our community.
For some people, reaching out for help can feel like a very big first step. Sometimes simply knowing what support is available, who provides it and where to begin can make that step feel a little easier.
That is why these community booths are such an important part of Nicholas’ Run.
They create a space where people can learn, ask questions and discover services in a relaxed and welcoming environment. They also remind us that support exists, and that there are people in our community who are ready to listen and help.
Nicholas’ Run was created to raise awareness about youth mental health, but awareness is only part of the story. Connection matters too.
By bringing people, organizations and resources together in one place, we hope the event helps make those connections a little easier.
Sometimes one conversation can be the beginning of something important.
